I thought this series was abysmal, and one of the primary examples of the film industry's decline in recent years. The original was just a bad imitation of Seven (a brilliant film) and then just sequeled every Halloween from then on after purely to cash in on the new gore porn craze. It never once left me thinking because the structure in every film is exactly the same, and you know that a ridiculous and unbelievable plot twist is on its way right at the last minute where it's no longer needed, nor significant in any respect.

The psychological effect is beyond ridiculous. The traps are always something like "You spent your life watching people so you have to cut out your eyes." "You spent your life fucking so you have to cut off your dick." It's never clever nor scary, it's just predictable and an excuse to depict someone mutilating themselves in a different way.

They even have the ironic tagline 'if it's Halloween, you know it's going to be Saw' or something to that effect. Are they just trying to cheapen their cash cow any further?

So I finally met Mr. Dourif LOL
I gave him some of my drawings and he was blown away. he autographed my Chucky doll's butt as well as a lobby card of him as Charles Lee Ray from a pack of them I found at the expo (lots of Chucky stuff there!!)
I asked Brad if he is still going to do the voice of Chucky and he said YES, and that he is also going to be Charles Lee Ray again, so it's confirmed by Brad!

Here's a dorky pic of me with DERF:

LOL
It's kind of amusing that I cosplayed as Glen as well as Kira the Gelfing from the Dark Crystal~!

I agree with Sherry though...he also has a bit of a Tim Burton's Corpse Bride style mixed in as well!

To tell you the truth I really don't need an indepth view into charles lee rays past truthfully, I don't need to know what happned to him as a child , nor some made up backstory likening some deep seeded connection with dolls like his mother being a midget in the child's play novel or whatever trite reason they could create as some sort of prelude to him becoming chucky the doll. I would rather know the events leading up to it, like how he met docterdeath and what exactley he learned from him, leading up to the night where he acted out of desperation.

As for the good guy doll himself, I'm not sure what they could do, I often think maybe they should have the movie take place in the 80's as sort of a period piece, during the toy marketing boom when they had all those "fad" toys that everyone had to have. I say that becuase there really isnt a market in this day in age for dolls directed towards boys. The whole concept of chucky worked so much better back then becuase there were all sorts of "your pal" type toys directd towards boys back then, it was much more common even I had a my buddy so I don't know how they would handle that aspect now.

Was this an unused Good Guy doll? I dont seem to recognise the moldings from which Child's Play it came from... I like the freakish sort of look to it.

Personally I wouldn't order from the foreign stores unless it was absolutley becuase Ive heard this too many times before, people whom ordered their items months ago and are still waiting to recieve their stuff, the shipping alone ensures you'll be paying more then you would normally. and theres no real way tp cofim weather your item is in the process of being shipped when you go on those waiting lists. Buy from whom you trust indeed.

If you ask me, the idea of Charles Lee Rays past...I dont care about Tiffany and to be honest ever since that screechy woman came to the series, it wasnt the same Chucky no more. Child's Play 1, 2, 3 are the real Chucky movies. The real killer Chucky I love the most!
Anyway, back to Chucky's past. I think they should include the novel's past (child's Play 2 novel) as when he was a child, how he became a killer and why. It'll be a nice begining to make others understand why Chucky is how he is. it'll also be interesting to learn how Charles became partners with Eddie. I've been curious about that for quite some time and we only ever saw about 10 seconds of the guy. There's got to be more to him that Don Mancini can give.
If we talk about hopes, I've been shown some rumours on IMDB which I really hope arent true but this was posted by a member...They was saying they're going to change Chucky's whole look and to be honest...I HATE that idea. If I could, I'd beg them not to do it because if it wasnt the same face, it'll be just like someone coping and trying to be Chucky. I dont mind changing a few looks but I'd prefer it if they keep to Chucky's original Good Guy look. It's perfect.
And last of all...YES, I want gore, lots of gore I can enjoy to watch! But I dont want it spoiled by stupid or disturbing comedy. Chucky is a horror icon, he deserves to be treated like one just like in the Child's Plays.

Legally you are required to pay customs on merchandise you receive from overseas. If you are lucky they will say it's a 'gift' to circumvent this law, but it's still dishonest. I don't think you should complain about those charges as it's the way it always works. I have had to pay charges on many items I have ordered from genuine companies because it is simply the law. If that law weren't in place then everyone would be buying cheap electronics from America as the dollar is so weak at the moment. Don't let it discourage you from using eBay, just remember in future that there is a chance you will have to pay customs charges on foreign items. If you want, you can always ask the seller to state that it's a 'gift' on the customs form.

I wasnt really sure where to stick this topic but since I'm annoyed about it, I'm posting it here. Warning for Chucky collectors...Buy from website stores you can trust! Read why, this is what happened with me:
Since April 26th I ordered for a DreamRush Life Size Good Guy after a month I didnt expect it to come yet but to just be on it's way, however, my Dad just randomly asked the guy we bought it from...Where's the doll? The guy we got it from said that he "couldnt send it because staff are ill". Ill for a whole month? So Indeed I looked though of purchases of happy customers and I found out this guy lied to me, he actually sent someone the exact same item, straight after me (and he never sent my doll), even though I ordered for my doll first. Pathetic and unacceptable.
Anyway after ages of waiting he told me he finally sent the doll by the 1st of July. My Dad wasnt thinking the doll wasnt comming at all until we finally got a bill which is almost at £100 custom and even though I already spent enough on the expensive posting, dont forget about the over £300 doll! Almost five months!
Chucky's now just waiting to be collected at the post office tomorrow but from now on I'm not getting anything from Ebay or any other related websites. I cannot trust them unless I know it's an official company I know I can trust.

p.s
Bunsher, if you're reading this, I bought my Good Guy doll from the same person as you, did you at all complain about the customs? My Dad will be sending a complaint to this member I've bought it from.

Taking one last victory lap on the exhibit floor at Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear expo, Shock bumped into Toronto-based artist Andy Belanger who had all sorts of art for sale from his work on Wildstorm's Friday the 13th: Abuser and the Abused. He also had a new piece featuring the notorious killer doll known as Chucky. Belanger tells us he'll be working on a new Chucky comic book mini-series for Devil's Due Publishing pretty soon
