I really love the original Child's play the most, it starts to fade a bit as they go down the list from there for me. I been reading older threads and finally signed up.. </p> <p>On a side note I'm starting to collect some Chucky stuff, I've always wanted a Good Guys doll since I was a tot, many years have passed and I never bought a Chucky doll/item. Mainly cause I could never find one with the Good Guys doll box, also never liked the Spencers style. </p> <p>Just recently have I learned of the great dolls that are out there, some rare and hard to find, or very costly. The Medicom/DreamRush dolls are probably the tops, but I saw a DreamRush 12" Good guy doll "Happy" Style with the good guy box and fell in love with it. Only problem is I have yet to find one for sale anywhere. I'll keep my eyes open for sure though. </p> <p>The new Chucky Living Dead Doll is another one to snatch whenever released that is. Those are the two I'm after most right now. I just recently bought the Neca Child's Play 3 Cult Classic Series 4 doll. Mostly bought it for the Good Guys doll box honestly, but the Chucky will be nice to have as well. I need to build my collection up. I am just scared on the arms, as I do plan to take it out of the box. Hopefully no breakage. The doll fits inside and displays better than it does in the Medicom box. Plus, the Dream Rush box design and graphics are near perfect and more accurate overall. <br /> -The clothes. Again, the shirt is more accurate on the Dream Rush version. Also, the overalls are the darker denim color like in the first Child's Play, which I prefer. <br /> -The face. While not perfect, the head and facial features on the Dream Rush version seem to have the closest look to the actual prop. <br /> -The shoes (well, the bottoms of the shoes at least). Now I know most are probably aware of the problems that arose on set from the first Child's Play with Tom Holland and Don Mancini. Don says that he originally wrote the film and that Tom had taken credit and he went to the writers Guild of 88 to get him to stop it and when Tom heard about this he refused to let Don and David appear on the set. I'm confused though because Don's script was veeery different from the film we have now. In his original script named Blood Buddy, The doll was named Buddy and the dolls had synthetic skin that could bleed out corn syrup forcing you to buy bandages. The kid, not sure if his name was Andy in the original, but anyway in a rite of passage he cuts his thumb and mixes his blood with Buddy and this somehow brings his doll to life and the doll was his suppressed ID that went around killing people he didn't like.</p> <p> Now we head to Tom's script which the movie became where Chucky was originally the lake sore strangler who knew voo doo and did terrible naughty things. Someone who was, like Freddy, evil before he became immortal. Transferred his soul in to the doll and thus we have Chucky. My question is, does this mean that Tom actually invented Chucky? This question has been in my head since I watched the interviews with Tom and Don on the 2008 SE DVD and listened to the commentary of Tom Holland online. Is there still a bit of bad blood between them? I know Tom said the original script for Blood Buddy was stupid and he didn't like it and I know Don thought the voo doo aspect was stupid though I thought it was more plausible and it gave Chucky a personality instead of being a thing. I love it! People think I am weird for liking Chucky as much as I do. Glad there are others out there that share the same love for him. A couple days ago I got a tattoo of him. I loved him when he looked original ( which is what my tattoo is of ). Don't get me wrong, I love how he looks now, but he was creepier when he didn't have stitches. Its not completely done.
