Glen recognizes his parents, Chucky & Tiffany because Chucky has the same 'Made In Japan' branding on his wrist.

But we know exactly where Chucky was made, we saw it happen: in the PlayPals factory in AMERICA

No, I just noticed it on the replica and suddenly realized why it always seems a little odd. I can't sit through SoC again! lol

I think you've forgot that Chucky was shred to bits in part 3. In BOC, Tiffany reconstructed Chucky using the remaining bits and doll parts. One of those parts was an arm from a doll that was Made In Japan. This has been my 2 cents.

We see her hold up his right arm as she's rebuilding him though and it's definitely a Good Guy arm. I'm assuming this is why she picks it and why she smiles when she looks at it. You even see the wrist as she attaches it and there is no 'made in japan' logo.

i know the reason why its because don Mancini put that in there as a gag. i believe it says so on the dvd commentary it was set out as a joke a joke that really does not make since to the franchise chucky is American made as presented in the first 3 films

play pals toy inc was based in Chicago as seen in child's play 2

the only thing i can think of was that don was trying to be funny to much that he put in a joke that some of the fans wont get nor understand he did not realize it at the time

however i could be completely wrong but thats just my guess

I actually think andyfan's view of it would be most accurate, but I'll ask Don. LOL I'm sure it's just a gag put in, but it would be funny to see what Don would say about it 8D

well, the reason why they put "made in japan" on glens wrist is so that glen could have a way to reccognise that chucky is his father... they should of used something more clever, like the bottom of his feet saying good guys, or some crap :?

in the first place how did he become a doll nd second how did glen know that chucky was his dad when in seed he couldnt see they were plugged into something from their backs and when chucky said "fuck you very much" then there was a laugh that could'ove been fake and oh sorry
