Someone probably already posted this but I thought I'd post it anyway. Basically a post for everyone to tell their story of how Chucky was introduced to them in life and what you liked and didnt like about the movies:
Back at High school I made a friend with somebody and together we let each other borrow films. One day my friend came to school with Child's Play 1 and let me borrow it for the weekend while I let him borrow Peter Jackson's King Kong.
First thought was that I wasnt going to like the film (now when I think about that, it's silly) but you know what they say, dont judge a book by it's cover...except it was a DVD. lol! But anyway when watching the film I absolutely loved it. I felt excited and eager to know what happens next..the killing ideas was amazing. When I got back to school I couldnt stop thinking about it, so obviously the next thing I did was buy my own copies, including the sequels I didnt see yet. When I got home, I couldnt help but enjoy watching it while eatting popcorn!
When it came to the sequels Bride and Seed, it was a little disapointing. Chucky's personality changed alot and made fun of itself, it was like a whole new character came on board. I didnt like the fact of the last film where there was loads of Jennifer Tilly (sorry Tilly fans) because it was supposed to be most of Chucky, it's a Chucky, brad Dourif film. Not only that but it kinda reminded me of Shrek at times with the stupid love scenes between Chucky and Tiffany, also the killing scenes werent as creative or creepy as they were in the Child's Play. Disapointment back then as it is today.
When it came to merchandise I was so excited to get my very first Chucky doll. Like I am now, I didnt want some crappy doll, I wanted something close to the film. So my parents bought me a Sideshow's 14" doll...My collection got larger and larger. Even now do I get so happy about watching Child's Play, especially with my friends watching it with me.
Wow! Over windded...But I would like to hear other people's story of how Chucky has grown on them, what their first thoughts were of the films.

I think I talk too much...
